Big Blog Theory

Kristin: Reading a good science blog? (Apart from this one!)

The Big Blog Theory is an initiative funded by the Federal Government for National Science Week to find Australia’s best science blogger. The Big Blog Theory is calling for Australians to nominate their favourite science blogger for the competition that aims to celebrate the online science community. Once nominations are received a panel of expert judges will select the top ten finalists and, in the spirit of blogging, public input will again be sought to vote on a winner. As well as the prestige of being named Australia’s best science blogger, the winner will become the official blogger for National Science Week 2010, and will receive a four-day national tour to National Science Week events.

I am one of four judges who will provide a shortlist for public voting. More information on the judging panel is available here.

I’ve been asked several times about science bloggers in Australia, but it’s been hard to identify a comprehensive list. Please make sure you put forward your favourite bloggers so we can showcase Australian science blogging to a global audience.
