Kristin: I know we’ve leaked the information, but today we confirm that Bridge8 is organising TEDxAdelaide.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx where x=independently organized TED event. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At this TEDxAdelaide event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Our license is held by Stephen Collins of AcidLabs who is also responsible for TEDxCanberra.

And we’ve started. We’ll be working with a great group of partners to deliver an event that showcases Adelaide ideas to the world. We’ll be unveiling news on venue, program, speakers and how you can attend or be involved over the next three months at the TEDxAdelaide website. In the meantime, if you’re interested, follow @TEDxAdelaide on Twitter or join our Facebook page.
