Blogging is for kids

Kristin: Last Friday I attended the symposium Nanotechnology: Science, Policy & Public Perspective hosted by Monash University. We were talking about democratic participation in decision-making around emerging technologies and I explained that’s why we blog. To provide information about new technologies in a way people can understand and in a way that is interesting and emotionally engaging.

“Oh, you’re aiming at the young then?

“Pardon?”

“You’d be aiming your science communications at the 12-21 years olds?”

Umm, no. I’d always figured our blog audience tended to be well-educated professionals, early adopters and thought-leaders in their communities. But the question was genuinely asked and it got me thinking. Who exactly is our blog audience? Please answer our quiz and let us know:
