Kristin: Hola! This time last year, we were reporting on the activities during COMS2007, held in Melbourne. This year, thanks to support from NanoVic and the Australian Office of Nanotechnology, I am at COMS2008 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am currently sitting inside the conference awaiting the start of the plenary session and will keep you updated during the conference. I will be giving a presentation during the education, public engagement and workforce development stream on Wednesday and am looking forward to discovering other perspectives on these activities from Mexico, Canada, the US and Europe. I am also interested to hear about recent commercialisation projects, the challenges and the possibilities. To get involved, see my Bridge8 post where I have made a quick podcast of the opening remarks. You can also find summaries of the action here in a yahoo pipe and a FriendFeed room too. Feels like you’re here, doesn’t it – although without the warm sun and Mexican food!
