Lisa: The Union of Concerned Scientists have run a Science Idol cartoon competition, inviting entries to highlight the problems arising when government interference in science, censoring scientists, suppressing findings or altering scientific reports. While this problem has been highlighted in the U.S., where over 10,000 scientists have signed a Statement on Scientific Integrity, I wonder how much of a problem, if it is at all, this is in Australia. I would love to know what you think!
